WHAT WE DO

Nonprofit status

As a New York-based 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, our fiscal sponsorship allows parter projects and organizations without similar registrations in their countries to access funds from foundations and donations.

Grants and contracts management

EWMI’s team can administer grant and contract agreements, taking on the responsibility for ensuring compliance with relevant laws including conducting due diligence and risk assessments, transferring funds to grantees and contractors directly, and monitoring implementation.

Financial management

EWMI provides financial management services for sponsored programs, including tracking and monitoring revenues and expenditures, and providing regular financial reporting.

Human Resources

EWMI can offer employment to sponsored program staff based in the U.S., or can handle contracting of sponsored program staff based elsewhere.

Capacity building

EWMI’s team can offer expert assessments of the internal policies and practices of our sponsored partners and provide guidance on strengthening them to build parters’ capacity to manage awards and ensure compliance going forward.

We work closely with both funders and beneficiary organizations or projects to tailor the menu of support needed at the start. We also realize that circumstance can change quickly, and we remain in close coordination with our sponsorship partners throughout the program lifecycle to ensure that our support remains responsive to the circumstances on the ground.
