On December 4-7, EWMI’s Judicial Independence and Legal Empowerment Project (JILEP), together with the Free University’s National Center for Commercial Law (NCCL), conducted its masters training program in teaching methodology for law professors from eight Georgian law schools. This was part of a series of workshops for Georgian law instructors participating in the one-year train-the-trainer project. The workshop was conducted by two of the leading U.S. experts in the field of legal teaching methodology, Professors Michael Schwartz and Rory Bahadur from Washburn University School of Law (WUSL). They provided instruction on such topics as assessment, exam construction, self-regulated learning and other advanced subjects. The next workshop will occur in March 2013 when the Georgian participants will offer their first training to local professors.
