The East-West Management Institute, Inc. (EWMI) invites Armenian national experts to apply for technical leadership position with a new, five-year international development project called the Promoting Human Rights in Armenia (PHRA) activity, funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). These are long-term, full-time positions based in Yerevan, with the assignments scheduled to begin immediately.
TECHNICAL LEAD FOR OBJECTIVE 3: Public Demand for and Access to Human Rights Protections in Armenia are Improved.
The Technical Lead for Objective 3 will be responsible for implementing activities on improving public demand for and access to human rights protections, including through public outreach and education, collaboration with CSOs, and strategic litigation and advocacy. He/she will ensure the timely implementation of activities within the portfolio, maintain regular contract with counterparts, subgrantees and engaged experts to achieve expected results. Required qualifications:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience working in the area of human rights strengthening through public advocacy, civil society engagement, public outreach and education, and/or strategic litigation, preferably in Armenia;
- Minimum of 7 years of management experience with international development programs;
- University level degree in public administration, law, political science, or related field;
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, including through public communications and outreach; and
- Fluency in speaking, reading, and writing in English and Armenian.
