East-West Management Institute, Inc. (EWMI, ewmi.org) invites applications by nationals of the Kyrgyz Republic for the position of Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Specialist as part of EWMI’s proposal for the anticipated USAID/The Kyrgyz Republic Civil Society Program. The Program will support the capacity building of civil society organizations in the Kyrgyz Republic and promote civic engagement to address community issues in collaboration with local government agencies. This is a full-time, long-term position, based in Bishkek, and offer relevant benefits packages.
Required qualifications
- At least 7 years of experience in setting up and overseeing MEL systems, including experience relevant to international development and civil society activities;
- Demonstrated experience with computer and/or web-based performance data recording and reporting systems and other technologies that improve the quality of monitoring system integrity and data collection/analysis/reporting/visualization;
- Demonstrated experience applying Collaborating, Learning & Adapting (CLA) principles to international development programs;
- Experience designing and implementing M&E capacity building programs for staff and partners;
- Experience working on USAID and other US government awards;
- Master’s degree in political science, sociology, statistics, international development, or in a relevant field, or a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in addition to the 7 years’ experience above;
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
