EWMI is pleased to announce the launch of the Advancing CSO Capacities and Engaging Society for Sustainability (ACCESS) Project to strengthen civil society organizations (CSOs) throughout Georgia. ACCESS will enable Georgian non-profit organizations to improve their financial sustainability, organizational management, policy influence, and civic engagement. The goal is to empower CSOs to become respected community representatives capable of leading public debate and collaborating with government to create more transparent and accountable governance.
EWMI is implementing ACCESS in partnership with local organizations: the Centre for Training and Consultancy (CTC) and the Civil Development Agency (CiDA). ACCESS will build on the progress achieved under EWMI’s USAID-funded Policy, Advocacy and Civil Society Development in Georgia project, which bolstered the advocacy capabilities of CSOs and increased their policy influence on priority public issues.
ACCESS is funded by the US Agency for International Development (USAID). USAID administers the U.S. foreign assistance program providing economic and humanitarian assistance in more than 80 countries worldwide.
